Bible Study
A New Bible Study starts February 10!“Sowing Tears, Reaping Joy; The Bible and Brahms’ Requiem,” is a seven- session adult Bible study that will start on Tuesday, February 10 and will be led by Pastor Donna Smith. The study explores what the Bible has to say about grief and hope in a Christian context. Each session will examine one movement of the Requiem as we journey “not necessarily from grief to hope, but through grief in hope.” Based on a resource from Dr. Carol Bechtel, the study focuses on the Scripture passages selected by Brahms for his masterwork, with the amplification of his magnificent musical setting. Because we will listen to musical excerpts, the sessions will run approximately 90 minutes each starting at 6:30 pm. Please notify the church office if you will join us so that plenty of material will be available. Direct any questions to Pastor Donna at galrev83@gmail.com or see her at church. Hoping many of us can come together for this meaningful study! Choir Practice
Beginning February 16, choir practice will start at 6:45pm and will stay that way until Monday March 30th
